The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) will be conducting a review of CRCOG’s transportation planning process.  A similar evaluation is conducted every three years in order to certify CRCOG’s activities as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the greater Hartford area.

An on-site review is open to the public and will be held on January 8, 2018; 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Materials Innovation & Recycling Authority (MIRA), 211 Murphy Road, Hartford, CT.  A session on CRCOG’s transportation planning process, with an opportunity for the public to comment on that process, will begin at 10:15 a.m.  There will also be a session at 10:45 a.m. to discuss CRCOG’s outreach to the public and targeted communities (minorities, low income and persons who have difficulty speaking English).  There will also be a few minutes for public comment at the end of each other agenda item (Certification Review Agenda).  Please feel free to attend any or all sessions.

Prior to the meeting, written comments or thoughts regarding how well, or how poorly, the region has undertaken the transportation planning process may be sent to either FHWA or FTA at the addresses below.  Along with your comments, please indicate the general nature of your involvement with CRCOG.
