Meeting of newly formed TIM Coalition that includes towns, cities and Regional Planning Organizations within the Connecticut “Hartford Urbanized Area”

The first meeting will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 (snow date Wednesday, January 31) at the CT Department of Transportation in Conference Room “A” at the Newington Headquarters – 2800 Berlin Turnpike, Newington, CT 06111.

The members chosen for the Coalition include public and private stakeholders and safety partners that have an overarching responsibility or interest in operations, safety and congestion management within the transportation sector.

As many of you are aware, it’s vital to coordinate the activities of the various responding agencies and address their needs and priorities while providing safety to the on-scene responders, to those involved in the incident and to the travelers approaching and passing the incident.   This is an opportunity for all stakeholders to work together in order to enhance coordinated response time for safe, quick removal of incidents from roadways in one of the largest urban areas of the state.   The key words are:  Detect – Respond – Clear.

Details are below:
