Director of Municipal Services

CRCOG is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Director of Municipal Services.  The primary duty for the person selected for this position will be to lead the CRCOG Municipal Services function, including conducting program development and management, research, analysis, and technical assistance work for the greater Hartford region in the areas of service sharing, cooperative purchasing, local government service, budget and finance and contract management.  This individual will manage and oversee all Municipal Services Department projects/contracts and oversees/provides staff support to other boards and committees as assigned.  This person will also provide programmatic and technical assistance to Executive Director as required.

Request for Proposals - Quality Assurance / Quality Control for the Spring 2016 Orthoimagery and LiDAR Project

UPDATE: Addendum 1 - Posted May 24, 2016

The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) intends to hire a qualified to provide
Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) for aerial imagery and LiDAR captured in the
Spring of 2016 across all 169 towns of Connecticut by The Sanborn Map Company, Inc. for
CRCOG and its affiliated partners. Specifically, the selected Vendor in association with CRCOG,
will review newly created imagery and topography, including 4-band, 3-inch orthoimagery and
LiDAR data, to ensure quality, accuracy, and aesthetics. As these QA/QC services are to be
utilized within a limited window of time related to the larger Statewide GIS data acquisition
project, it is critical that the Vendor address how effective and efficient QA/QC services can be
provided within the shortest time frame.  Please see the RFP document for details.

Sealed proposals, in accordance with the format prescribed below, will be received at the
Capitol Region Council of Governments, located at 241 Main Street, Hartford, CT 06106, until
2:00 p.m. EST, Wednesday June 1, 2016.

Request for Qualifications - Route 5 East Windsor Corridor Study

NOTE: We have sent interview invitations to consultants and have scheduled the interviews for June 15.

The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) is seeking to obtain the services of a consulting firm to conduct a transportation planning/corridor study in the Route 5 Corridor in East Windsor. The consultant must have expertise in transportation planning, land use planning, traffic engineering, and access management. The consultant must also have a demonstrated ability to manage transportation studies which include a public involvement effort.

Statements of qualifications, marked “U.S. Route 5 Corridor Study”, must be received by CRCOG no later than 11 AM on Friday, April 22, 2016. Statements should be delivered to Ms. Jennifer Carrier, Director of Transportation Planning, Capitol Region Council of Governments, 241 Main St., Hartford, CT 06106. Responses received after this time will not be considered.

 


Request for Qualifications - Silver Lane East Hartford Corridor Study

NOTE:We have sent interview invitations to consultants and have scheduled the interviews for June 9.

NEW! Request for Proposals: Study of Best Practices in Engaging Anchor Institutions and Neighborhoods to Build Corridors of Opportunity

The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) intends to hire a consulting firm to conduct a Study of Bet Practices in Engaging Anchor Institutions and Neighborhoods to Build Corridors of Opportunity. The consultant must have expertise in and knowledge of how anchor instutitions and neighborhoods have successfully worked together to increase economic activity and transit oriented development in bus rapid tgransit and rail corridors. The consultant must also have a demonstrated ability to manage a study that includes the involvement of a range of stakeholders representing anchor institutions and neighborhood interests.
