The Active Transportation Initiative Work Group
The work group was created to assist in the development of the Pedestrian/Bicycle Plan and to help to oversee implementation.  If you would like to get involved, or if you have any questions about meeting times, please feel free to contact Sandy Fry at sfry@crcog.org or by phone at 860-522-2217 ext 20.

Next Steps:  The Pedestrian/Bicycle Plan has been adopted, now the real work begins.  The ATIWG is actively working on the following to move implementation forward:

• Building the Coalition:  to illustrate that the citizens and businesses of the region support a walkable bike able region.  Join the coalition by filling out the downloadable form. 
• Documenting The Vision:  the plan will be converted into a “Case Statement” which clearly, concisely, and with visuals, helps others to understand what implementation of the plan can mean for the region.
• Implementation of Recommendations:  CRCOG staff will begin implementation by focusing upon these first year recommendations.
