Working with these organizations enable CRCOG to initiate and implement programs that benefit our cities and towns; we work hand in hand with these partners to strengthen our region by advocating for our communities and providing services to our many citizens.

Capitol Workforce Partners
As the state’s regional Workforce Development Board in North Central Connecticut, Capital Workforce Partners helps individuals overcome barriers to employment and closes the gap between skills and business hiring needs.
Greater Hartford Arts Council
The Greater Hartford Arts Council has served Connecticut’s capital region for 50 years, providing critical financial and organizational resources to support the arts and cultural sector, as well as helping all people connect with the arts in their community.
The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving
The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving serves 29 towns, more than 750,000 residents, hundreds of nonprofits, and a network of philanthropists with more than 1200 funds. They bring together the people, knowledge, investments and passion to make Greater Hartford a more inclusive and positive place to live, work and raise a family.
Connecticut Main Street Center
Connecticut Main Street Center (CMSC) is the State Coordinating program in Connecticut for Main Street America. They are a nonprofit organization based in Hartford but serving communities throughout the State of Connecticut.
Hartford Chamber of Commerce
The Hartford Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization committed to enhancing Hartford’s business and civic communities.
Partnership for Strong Communities
The Partnership for Strong Communities plays a vital role in shaping solutions to end homelessness, develop healthy neighborhoods and to create more affordable housing opportunities for workers, young professionals and families.
Crumbling Foundation Solutions Indemnity Company
Connecticut Foundation Solutions Indemnity Company, Inc. (“CFSIC”) has been chartered and licensed as a captive insurer to assist the State of Connecticut with the fair and equitable adjustment of homeowner claims resulting from the pyrrhotite-affected home foundations natural disaster.
Metro Hartford Alliance
The MetroHartford Alliance is an investor-based economic development partnership focused on business development and growth, retaining and attracting jobs and talent in targeted sectors, ensuring a strong urban core, and promoting the Hartford Region.
Riverfront Recapture
Riverfront Recapture is a nonprofit organization founded in 1981. They manage, maintain, and operate four riverfront parks and their connected riverwalks and trails.
CRCOG Partnering State Agencies
ACIR
The Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations (ACIR) is a 25-member agency of the State of Connecticut created in 1985 to study system issues between the state and local governments and to recommend solutions as appropriate.
CTrides
CTrides, a service of the Connecticut Department of Transportation, helps Connecticut employers and employees seamlessly reap the financial, environmental, and productivity benefits of reducing single-rider commuting.
Metropolitan Area Planning (MAP) Forum
The Metropolitan Area Planning (MAP) Forum is a consortium of 10 Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) from New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania that have entered into an agreement to better coordinate planning activities in the multi-state region.
Windham Region Transit District
The Windham Region Transit District was formed in accordance with Chapter 103a of the Connecticut General Statutes in 1979 with the towns of Windham, Mansfield, and Coventry voting to join. Subsequently, Ashford, and Columbia joined the district.
Capital Region Development Authority
Stimulating economic development and new investment in and around the Hartford region through housing development, venue management, collaborative rebranding and the facilitation of redevelopment projects in contiguous towns.
Eastern CT Workforce Investment Board
The Eastern Connecticut Workforce Investment Board (EWIB) is a non-profit agency mandated through the Federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014. The EWIB oversees a network of workforce-related programs funded from a variety of sources including the operations of the region's American Job Centers.
Pioneer Valley Planning Commission
Since 1962, the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission has been the designated regional planning body for the Pioneer Valley region, which encompasses 43 cities and towns in the Hampden and Hampshire county areas.
