Anaka Maher is a Senior Transportation Planner who started working at CRCOG in 2023. After graduating from UConn’s Civil Engineering program in 2020, Anaka got her master’s degree in Transportation Engineering from UC Berkeley. You’ll find her working alongside Sotoria on the Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program (LOTCIP) and on various other transportation projects with an emphasis on multimodal mobility and safety. Before coming to CRCOG, Anaka worked for Optibus, a transit software company, where she supported transit agencies across the U.S. in planning and scheduling.
Anaka grew up in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom before her family moved to Haddam and still often travels back and forth between her two hometowns. She currently lives in Farmington and can often be found biking the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail. When not outside, she spends her free time reading fantasy novels and playing board games.
