Cara Radzins is CRCOG’s Deputy Director of Transportation Planning. In addition to assisting with the management of CRCOG’s Transportation Planning Department, her responsibilities include Transit Planning, Corridor Studies, Public Involvement, and Freight Planning. Cara has been a part of CRCOG’s transportation team since 2015, and the studies she has managed include the Metro Hartford Rapid Routes Transit Priority Corridors Study, Comprehensive Transit Service Analysis, and Eastern Gateways Study. As CRCOG’s Title VI Coordinator, Cara is also responsible for overseeing the agency’s Title VI Program, including updates to the Public Participation Plan.

Cara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Columbia University and a Master of City Planning with a focus in Transportation Planning from the University of Pennsylvania. She is also a Certified Transportation Planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP CTP). Prior to working at CRCOG, Cara spent five years as a Transportation Planner and Project Manager at URS Corporation/AECOM. Born and raised in Connecticut, Cara is originally from Morris and currently lives in Southington with her husband and their two children.
