The MetroHartford Brownfields Assessment Program is now accepting applications for site eligibility for funding for Assessments. The deadline to submit is October 27, 2021 at 4:00 p.m., and we anticipate announcing awards the week of November 15.
These grant funds can be used to conduct environmental assessment and remedial action planning on municipally sponsored properties that may be contaminated with hazardous substances. Applications must be submitted by a CRCOG member municipality, but work may be carried out by a site owned by a private or non-profit entity. Cleaning up contaminated sites allows them to be recycled into new economic opportunities for our region.
