Roger Krahn joined CRCOG in May 2019 as Principal Transportation Engineer/Planner.  His areas of responsibility include corridor studies, transportation safety, CTDOT LOTCIP program support, traffic incident management program support, and engineering technical support to member towns.  Roger holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.  He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE).  Prior to joining CRCOG, Roger’s past career experience includes engineering design, planning, and project management of transportation projects with consulting engineering firms in Connecticut; roadway design with the North Carolina Department of Transportation Roadway Design Unit; and employment with FHWA on the Highway Engineer Training Program.  Roger is a licensed Professional Engineer in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and North Carolina.  Roger and his wife have five daughters.
