Gap Foundation Funding

The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) has obtained Department of Housing and Urban Development funds to assist Owner-Occupied Moderate-Income Families affected with the crumbling foundations issue located in Connecticut, augmenting the Connecticut Foundation Solutions Indemnity Company, Inc. (CFSIC), program.   This funding can be utilized to pay for contractor costs which CFSIC funds do not cover and are typically the owner’s responsibility. This program assists homeowners whose incomes are below $66,150* for a family of one to $94,500* for a family of four. Maximum assistance to homeowners for this funding is $32,000.00 per household.  Additional funds may be available for required health, safety and code compliance items. To apply for this program please fill out the form below.   These funds are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.  (*Specific income limits subject to HUD published limits and vary from town to town. The specific limits can be found on our Family Income Eligibility Summary)

If you are further along with the CFSIC process, DO NOT  sign a construction contract! If you sign a construction contract prior to approval, you will not be eligible to participate!

Unfortunately, due to federal rules, if your claim with CFSIC has been paid and is closed, you are not eligible for this program.

Some articles reported that driveways would be covered under this program.  Depending on the circumstances, driveways will not be covered.  Accessibility to the house / entrances are covered.  Once you are deemed to be eligible, the CRCOG's consultant will review with you all covered costs / information for your specific circumstances.
