New Report: Public Act 21-29 Regional Survey: Accessory Dwelling Units & Commission Training

Public Act 21-29 requires Connecticut cities and towns to allow accessory dwelling units (ADUs) by-right and limits the number of parking spaces for such units. The Act also requires ongoing training for various land use commissioners.

In late December 2022, CRCOG surveyed the region’s planning directors to better understand how each municipality is approaching the opt-out provisions for ADUs and parking minimums, as well as gain a better understanding of what types of land use commissioner training would be most beneficial.

Our report on our findings is available here: PA 21-29 Regional Survey – Accessory Dwelling Units & Commission Training.
