On September 7th, 2019, FHI staff and Watch for Me CT joined MetroCOG and Town staff at the Stratford Arts & Culture Festival. The team collaborated to provide visitors information about the Town’s bike and pedestrian planning efforts. Community members were asked to comment several renderings showing potential streetscape improvements and to answer general questions such as:
“Is Stratford bike friendly?”
“How and where can we make improvements?”
Bilingual postcards with information about the Town’s planning efforts were handed out, as well as information about bike and pedestrian safety. Four lucky winners were also selected as part of a bike helmet raffle, generously provided by Watch for Me CT.
